Messages covered by these terms
The monthly plan includes approved receptionist caller SMS and links for the customer business, through enabled and permitted channels. Your order identifies any trial messaging availability. Sharing an approved booking link is different from making a booking inside a calendar.
Use messages for the specific reception or service purpose requested. Outbound campaigns and bulk marketing are excluded. The responsible business chooses authorised content and recipients and must identify itself accurately.
Permission before sending
Obtain the recipient’s prior express written permission required for this software-provider service, or use an approved corresponding inbound-SMS request. A verbal request or call transcript is not automatically written permission. Keep evidence of the identified sender, recipient, purpose and permission. A requested reply does not permit unrelated future messages.
Do not send an unconsented initial text to obtain permission. Public numbers, purchased lists or an existing relationship are not blanket consent. Receptionist enquiry details must not be repurposed for promotion without the required permission.
Content, frequency and delivery
Use approved destinations and links, keep messages relevant to the request and avoid unnecessary sensitive information. The enabled action and requested purpose determine the messages sent; these terms do not promise exactly one message per call.
Delivery can be delayed, filtered or fail because of networks, devices, number capability or provider restrictions. A delivery event does not establish that the recipient read or acted on the message. SMS is not an emergency or guaranteed time-critical channel.
Stopping messages and getting help
Provide the required simple opt-out and honour withdrawal before dispatch, including queued messages and retries. Advertise reply keywords such as STOP or HELP only where the actual sender supports that behaviour. Do not change numbers or channels to evade an objection.
If you receive an unwanted message, contact the sending business or team@openvoiceagent.com. Give only the sender, approximate time and details needed to locate it. A limited suppression record may remain to respect your choice. Stopping caller messages is separate from cancelling a business’s Open Voice Agent subscription.
Usage and charges
The included receptionist SMS entitlement has no numerical cap or overage. It remains limited to permitted reception use and enabled destinations; it is not bulk-marketing permission. There is no extra team-seat charge or numerical seat allowance for the agreed business use.
Long messages, character sets, destinations and carrier rules can affect segmentation and delivery. They do not create an undisclosed SMS overage. Recipients should check any charges imposed by their own network.
Privacy and reporting misuse
Phone numbers, message content, permission, suppression and delivery evidence can be personal data. The privacy notice, DPA and acceptable-use policy explain the relevant roles and safeguards.
Report suspected spam, impersonation or mistaken disclosure to team@openvoiceagent.com. Billing and cancellation use billing@openvoiceagent.com. Company telephone: 020 4524 7953. No fixed staffed hours, phone-answering promise or support-response SLA is included.
